Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Walify ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Walify is a personal finance tracking tool that allows you to manually enter financial data, connect bank accounts via Plaid, track budgets and debt, and receive AI-powered financial insights. The Service is provided "as is" for personal use.

2. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• One account per person. You may not share accounts.

3. Subscription and Billing

• The Free plan is available at no cost with limited features.
• The Pro plan is billed at $9.99/month. Billing is handled by Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds for partial months.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

4. Bank Account Linking (Plaid)

• Bank linking is powered by Plaid Technologies, Inc. By connecting a bank account, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.
• Walify accesses your bank data in read-only mode. We do not initiate transactions.
• You may disconnect any bank account at any time from the Accounts page.

5. AI Financial Assistant

• The AI assistant provides general financial information based on data you provide. It is not a licensed financial advisor.
• AI responses are not professional financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for major financial decisions.
• AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude. Your financial snapshot is sent to Claude's API solely to answer your questions.
• Free plan users receive 5 AI messages per month. Pro plan users receive 50 messages per day.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or compromise the Service
• Share your account with others
• Use the Service to store data belonging to other people without their consent

7. Your Data

You own your data. We do not claim any rights to the financial information you enter. You may export your data at any time from Settings → Backup & Restore. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or accuracy of financial calculations. You are responsible for verifying important financial figures independently.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Walify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any financial decisions made based on information provided by the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of your state of residence.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
